Do oats cause blood sugar levels to spike?

I've had a Nutribullet for around a month and absolutely love it. I was about to include oats in my blasts but some internet pundits have put some doubt into my mind regarding the efficacy of oats. Apparently it can make blood sugar levels spike?I'd love to hear Nutriliving's thoughts.

Official Answer

Whole rolled oats are a great source of complex carbohydrates and will actually help stabilize blood sugars. You have to be careful with the quick cooking oats, those are lower in fiber and may cause blood sugar to rise more quickly.
