What ingredients should I use for type 2 diabetes and COPD?

I have diabetes and c o p d, I am not sure about sugar contents in the fruit I use. also my breathing is not great, so cannot do any walking as such, also I need to loose weight, Please advise.

Of course I'd recommend seeing your Dr. to determine what he/she specifically recommends for you...some general guidelines I'd give is to manage your blood sugar levels 1st. Consume more protein (needs increase to about 1.2-1.5g/kg body weight per day) and a moderate amount of carbohydrates (limit all the sweets, soda, candy, starches, milk, and high sugar fruits). A high-protein diet with moderate carbohydrates is recommended to reduce carbon dioxide in the body. Increased carbohydrates in the diet can increase respirations, which can make eating more difficult. Replace the carbs with some healthy fats - this will also up your caloric intake. Healthy fats high in omega 3 include hemp seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds, walnuts, and cold-water fish like salmon and haddock and tuna. Limit salt/sodium: Salt can cause fluid retention in your body, which can make it difficult to breathe. Some diuretic-like foods include: Adequate fluid intake! Increase vitamin A-rich foods:cooked sweet potato, carrots, spinach, kale Increase vitamin C-rich foods: strawberries, citrus, leafy greens, berries Foods that are gas forming can cause abdominal bloating and discomfort.
