Which foods will help address inflammation and psoriasis?

I have suffered with this type of Arthritis for the last 25 years.  I did see a very informative and caring N.D. for about 14 years and he addressed certain things he believed I should cut out of my diet or use in a minimal respect to my condition.  One was stay away from night shade vegetables and acid fruits such as lemons, limes, oranges etc.

He also mentioned that Arthritis feeds on sugar regardless if refined or in fruits.  His protocol was to address the omega fatty acids, be it through cod liver oil, flax oil, borage etc.....  Bananas, apples, blueberries and any other low acid, sugar fruit was OK in moderation. Nuts and seeds were addressed as being a good source of omega 3 and protein as well.

What worries me is that some of the blasts include using whole lemon or other acid fruits that I was supposed to eliminate from my diet because of triggering a inflammatory response. I really need to address formulas that deal directly with my inflammation because that is the main reason why I invested in the NutriBullet blast system.  I have been taking Turmeric  gel capsules at 400 mg twice a day for years now.

New Chapter is the company and I believe it is one of the best out there.  My diet is good and I am willing to do just a blast concoction for a month or two if it will detox me and get this Psoriasis under control.  Thank you very much and am looking forward to your input?

Everyone has a different genetic structure and their bodies respond differently to certain foods. You are lucky that you were able to get one on one attention with an ND and the info you received is very valuable to understand how to feed your body with the right foods it needs to function at its highest potential. My suggestions tend to be very broad because I am working with so many people and lack a lot of specific details I would need to make a personalized recommendation. In your case I would focus on increasing your nutrient dense veggie intake and anti-inflammatory foods.

I would include:
dark leafy greens - alkaline, anti-inflammatory, nutrient dense
broccoli - great source of indole-3-carbinole, an immune system booster
blueberries - nutrient dense, low glycemic index
fresh turmeric - huge anti-inflammatory (as you know)
ginger - anti-emetic, anti-nausea, great for digestion, anti-inflammatory
hemp seeds, chia seeds - good source of omega 3 FA
caca0 - anti-inflammatory, if you can handle a mild amount of caffeine

Those are some great ingredients to use in your NutriBullet, with those foods you could make some super tasty Blasts that would help decrease inflammation throughout your body.
