Can you suggest NutriBullet recipes for ulcerative colitis?

I am 67 and until late July consider I had a balanced diet and was quite healthy. After a couple of months of considerable stress I was quite unwell and a colonoscopy early September showed I had Ulcerative Colitis. I am responding well to the medication (mesalazine) but would like to get back to feeling healthy & energetic and get rid of some mouth ulcers. I had stopped using my Nutribullet when I didn’t know what was wrong with me and I did not want to make the symptoms worse. I have slowly added a couple of chopped fruits to my breakfasts and cooked vegetables with my meals but have not gone back to raw or juicing yet. Can you please suggest any specific Nutribullet recipes for UC & to help me get back into full health.  Are nuts & seeds OK with this condition? It is not easy for me to look at YouTube suggestions as my broadband is so poor & they take forever to load. I am quite happy to buy whatever fruits or veg you suggest and are there are 'superfoods' or other products that might help please?

Unfortunately each person reacts to different foods in a unique way. It may take some trial and error. What we do know is that introducing more fibrous foods into your diet quickly can often cause some digestive discomfort. If you are not used to eating a lot of plant-based foods (veggies, fruits, legumes, beans, nuts, and seeds), then introduce them slowly - maybe start with a small cup NutriBlast for a week, then slowly increase consumption of these foods outside of Blasting, then you may be ready for a tall cup by the next month. Continue to drink plenty of water between meals so that you do not become constipated. Focus on anti-inflammatory foods: http://www.nutriliving.com/blog/top-10-anti-inflammatory-foods Wash all produce before using it: http://www.nutriliving.com/blog/getting-pesticides-your-produce A couple other things you may want to consider and should ask your Dr. about are a probiotic, avoiding dairy, cooking some veggies if raw are too hard on your digestive system, and eating small frequent meals vs. a few larges ones. Using the NutriBullet and breaking down your food should help with nutrient absorption and digestion! If you experience a flare up, you may want to cut back on the fibrous foods, then re-introduce them after it subsides. To help determine your "trigger" foods, I'd recommend keeping a food diary and seeing if there are any foods you eat that cause a flare up. Again, always check w/ your Dr. to make sure these recommendations are appropriate for you and if taking certain medications that there are no food/drug interactions. My husband drinks raw goat milk, cow kefir, whey and a Mediterranean diet. I steam his vegetables and make a smoothie for him but only a small cup.
