Why did my lips burn after pineapple?

A couple of days ago I got a fresh whole pineapple..topped and skinned it..ran it through the Nutribullet..got about 12 or 15 ozs. of thick juice.. as I was drinking it..my lips started to get prickly and almost a burning sensation..I continued to finish it..within an hour I could barely touch my lips.. the sensation lasted almost two days..gradually feeling less prickly and tender..you can rest assured I won't do that again..an enzyme in pineapple supposedly to blame..do you have any more information on this.

It could also be because pineapple is a very acid fruit that may have been too much for you to drink all at once. This article gives a few tips on how to lessen the burn:
