How do I avoid iron?

Hello, I am new here, and have just recieved my NutriBullet. I am wondering, is there a veggie(s) you would recomend that can replace the spinach in the recipies?

My mom has polycythemia kertania tarda and porphuria (the body produces too much iron), we have been told these conditions are hereditary. I have never been low on iron and I stay away from it as much as possible.

Thank you and have a great day:)

Official Answer

You can use romaine lettuce in place of spinach.

Here are some additional low iron fruits and veggies you can use in your NutriBullet: apple, cranberries, white grapefruit, fresh tangerines, capers, hot red chili, raw broccoli spears, cooked cabbage, raw carrots, cauliflower, celery, grape leaf, iceberg lettuce, raw mushrooms, onions, and spaghetti squash.
