Can NutriBullet help with vertigo or the vestibular system?

I just purchased the nutribullet, and am very excited to use it in hopes that it will help me with my vertigo.  I was diagnosed with vestibular neuritis on March 20, 2014, which as you know, is a virus on the nerve in my inner ear.  I am constantly dizzy and have been unable to go to work and/or drive my car.  It is challenging to shower, wash my hair, and perform other various daily living tasks.  I did start vestibular therapy, and do notice small steps towards feeling normal, but I really thought I would be back to normal by now!  I asked my primary physician about any vitamins or supplements I could take, and she said there was none known.  Do you know of a blast I could make to help this virus in my vestibular system?

Dietitian's Answer

As far as nutrition goes, the only things I can think of is if a virus is suspected, then choosing foods shown to have anti-viral properties. Such foods include: garlic, ginger, and apple cider vinegar. Limit alcohol, caffeine, and salt. Also, Ginkgo biloba, which increases blood flow to the brain, may help reduce symptoms of vertigo.
