Bellesorrisa, Soaking nuts and seeds removes a protective enzyme coating that can make it more difficult for some people to digest. After soaking rinse them well. They need to soak overnight. You will notice they plump up nicely. You can then dry them or freeze them for later use.
You can also sprout them, by soaking for about 48 hours. Sprouting really ups the nutritional content. The nuts or seeds must be raw for them to be able to sprout.
