Why did I get diarrhea after my first drink?

New to NutriBullet and got diarrhea all day the first drink I made!!   I have CFS and am sensitive to raw foods .  I use probiotics and digestive enzymes and have been able to eat salads and raw veggies and fruits in the past.  Perhaps this was too much juice for me at once.  I thought with the pulp pretty smoothed out, I wouldn't have this problem.  Anyone else have this problem in the beginning or regularly? 1st drink was a large ginger carrot juice (peeled organic baby carrots, ginger root, water, ice cubes and a bit of sugar).  I'm discouraged as I just got the NutriBullet.  I'll see my CFS doc in August, but this condition often affects the bowel and digestive tract.  Any advice on what I might do, drinks that might be soothing to my stomach and lower intestines?  In the past I was told to avoid raw veggies and fruit and also avoid spices, caffeine.

The best foods for GI tract are bananas, raw oats, coconut water, peanut butter, ginger and turmeric. You may have had too much liquid and veggies all at once. If your body is not use to eating raw foods this was probably too much for your system. I would start by using your short cup and make sure you are drinking slowly. I know sometimes I can drink a Blast in under 5 minutes and this usually makes my stomach hurt. Try this Blasts and slowly build up to including more raw veggies. 1/2 banana, 1/4 oats, 1 cup almond milk or coconut water, 1 mint leaf, 1/4 inch chunk of ginger and 1/4 cup of cherries or kiwi or any fruit you have on hand. Drink this slowly and see how it sits. Let me know how it goes and we can adjust from there. =)

Thanks so much Sarah! I drank the large cup of raw carrots with ginger and water throughout the day, but way too much for a non juicer/extractor person. I'll try what you recommend. Meanwhile the NutriBullet is great for my rice milk and spirulina drink. So compact and quick. Tomorrow I'll get out for some oats, ginger (hate mint). I have so little energy very hard to go more than a block to the local stores which often don't have "exotic" fruits or veggies. On my Meetup CFIDS group, a knowledgeable person advised me to steer clear of "ice", cold liquids(better to be room temp) with my stomach issues. Also to take very little at first of raw stuff. Apparently the Chinese, who are very healthy, never eat raw foods, WOW. Will let you know how it goes. Many thanks.
Mmmm, rice milk and spirulina, sounds delicious! I agree about the room temperature foods, they are better for digestion. Thanks for the update and look forward to hearing about your healthy changes!
