What foods can help reduce joint pain?

I have noticed that when I eat peppers, onions or broccoli I have a significant reduction in joint pain in my knees, hips and back. While it's not completely gone, it drops on a scale of 1-10 from a 9 or 10 to a 2 or 3. What is in these 3 veggies that could be doing that and what other veggies can I eat which might have a similar effect? I just sort of stumbled on this but it is giving me my life back and allowing me to walk again.

It is hard to say specifically what is happening. Broccoli has a compound in it called indole-3-carbinol, which interacts with the immune system, so this could be helping. You could include other foods from the same family like kale, cauliflower and brussels sprouts. Peppers are high in vitamin C so you could include foods like strawberries, oranges, grapefruit, lemons and brussels sprouts. Some other great foods for inflammation include turmeric, ginger, edamame, garlic, chili powder, berries, cacao nibs and dark leafy greens.
