Is it common to lose your taste for meat and seafood?

After using nutri bullett for 2 1/2 months, I've never felt better, however, I'm noticing that I don't care for meat or seafood anymore. Those have always been my favorites, especially seafood and steak. Is this seen commonly?

Dietitian's Answer

I can totally relate. When I began following a vegan diet I thought I'd never be able to give up my favorites, fish and turkey. However, I slowly became less and less interested in these and now I have no cravings or desire to include them back into my diet. Often times our taste buds change when we find ourselves incorporating new foods into our diet. I have several friends who have experienced this same thing.

You do not need to eat seafood or steak to have a healthy diet. Just be sure that you are including foods that provide the nutrients you were getting from these two in order to maintain a well-balanced diet! All vitamins and minerals can be obtained from a plant-based diet with the exception of vitamin B12 (vitamin D is rare, but not impossible). This can be obtained from fortified dairy alternatives or other fortified foods, or a supplement.

Thanks for the reply! I'm looking at it as a good thing, just never thought I'd see the day, lol. Love my Nutri Bullet!
Dawson084,congratulations you have hit that point of hearing your body. That a great place. I have seen this happen with many people once they get their body clean and a steady supply of nutrition coming in frequently, the body tends to want to stay clean. It turns off the desire for most unhealthy foods.

It baffles many of my clients and always amazes me. Healthy Wishes, Wally Bishop C.N.C.
You can get all the vitamin d you need from the sun. We have been told it is dangerous to be in the sun without sun screen but 20 minutes a day of as much skin as possible exposed will work wonders. With the nutriblasts you should be getting enough magnesium to help you absorb the Vit. D. Also, do not wash for several hours after sun exposure as you need to have time to absorb the D into the skin. This came from my M.D./naturopath, as well as chiropractor with a degree in nutrition.
Thanks for sharing what they told you! That is so cool! :)
I haven't had this problem at all. I feel like veggie-based NutriBlast's add to your meals.

One of my favorite combos is to make a 100% veggie based nutriblast and then have a lean protein (chicken) with a healthy whole grain starchy carb (brown rice). I have found this to be a great way to maximize the machine with my current eating.
