First I would recommend seeing a dietitian to help you really understand what foods you can and can not eat. They can also help put you on an eating plan that will ensure you are getting all the nutrients you need throughout the day. IBS is a very general diagnosis with varying symptoms and depending on your symptoms, you may benefit from different foods. I would also recommend keeping a food diary and recording everything you eat and symptoms you are experiencing. This way you can start to track foods that may be bothering you. It may take a little while but I encourage you to experiment with a variety of dark leafy greens, seeds like chia, flax and hemp and fruits like berries, kiwi, strawberry, honeydew, grapes, lemons, limes, oranges and passionfruit. Use water, unsweetened almond milk and coconut water for your liquids. Add superfoods like spirulina, ginger, turmeric, cacao and maca.
