Mari, this can be a normal effect of adding lots of fiber and nutrition to your diet when you have not been eating that way. It also means you need more beneficial gut bacteria. Try some goat yogurt. Cow products are now good for us. But goat and sheep yogurt is fine. Also you can take additional probiotics. If the gas is very smelly (sounds like it the way you are describing it) then it means you are detoxing, cleaning out stored up toxic waste material. If you want to slow it down cut back on the size or number of blast until your body adjust to the amount of fiber you are eating. Once you are clean and your gut flora is more balanced the smell should not be a problem. However gas or flatulence is a normal way of life when you eat healthy. It is a by-product of fiber in the diet. It is a sign of health as long as they are not smelly. I naturally produce gas but know one knows because there is no smell! Some foods create more gas than others. To much fruit will make it worse and some people get more gassy with cruciferious veggies (broccoli, cabbage, kale, Brussels sprouts and asparagus. Beans can also cause gas. You can take Beano before eating beans and the enzymes help breakdown the coating that causes the gas. I hope this helps. Healthy wishes wally Bishop C.N.C.
