Skin conditions are often a sign that something is not right on the inside (beauty is actually skin deep!). So, it's important to heal from the inside out. Check out this article for some great tips on how to do that.

In addition, eczema stems from an allergic, inflammatory reaction. If the trigger is known, then it should be avoided and an anti-inflammatory diet should be started. This type of eating is mostly plant-based including healthy fats such as omega-3s and avoiding processed, sugary foods as well as dairy and red and non grass-fed meats.

Some good supplements include aloe vera (food grade), GLA (http://www.umm.edu/altmed/blog/gamma-linolenic-000305.htm) fatty acids found in spirulina, evening primrose oil, black currant oil and borage oil. Probiotics may also help. Check in with your Dr. to see if any of these are appropriate for you before implementing any new dietary change or supplement.

Hope you find this helpful!
