This is not something that happens quickly. Lose-weight-fast plans are often detrimental to your health and unrealistic. Here is an excerpt from weight loss expert Wally Bishop:
As for sweeteners try to get use to having your foods less sweet. But if you need it use stevia or raw honey.
Never eat less than 1200 calories per day. If you do it will interfere with weight loss. Your body will think it is starving and turn what you eat into fat for later energy. It slows your metabolic furnace also.
Aim for a low glycemic diet. Sugar is not good for our bodies. Avoid breads (except Ezekiel Bread), crackers, cookies, pastries and any products with a lot of added sugar like sugary drinks and cereals. Avoid breaded foods, white potatoes and white rice.
Eat at least 5 times per day. It keeps the blood sugar balanced and you less hungry. It reduces cravings!
Drink at least 1/2 your body weight in fluid ounces of water daily. If you exercise or sweat a lot you need even more. You cannot breakdown fat stores effectivly without the presence of water. Water also detoxes us and gives us energy. Just a 2% drop in body fluids can reduce your energy by 30%.
Avoid refined and processed foods as much as possible. No fried foods!!
Allow yourself to have treats occasionally. It keeps us happy and from sabotaging our weight loss efforts.
Exercise at least 5 days per week. It boost your metabolism. To lose weight you must exercise!! Start slow and work up to at least an hour per day. Exercise should include aerobic activities like walking or biking and weight liftting. Yoga would also be great for strength and balance.
Have fun and enjoy life. Laughter and smiling improves our health by boosting our mood. It actually releases healthy chemicals in our bodies.
Getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep per night is critical for your health and weight loss.
