Would a blended banana be easier to digest?

I have never had a problem with bananas, I ate them peeled. Then one day I started having almost food allergy/ poisoning symptoms. Do others have this problem? Would blending them in the Nutribullet RX help? Is there a substitute for bananas for the recipes?

Dietitian's Answer

If you are intolerant of or allergic to a particular food then blending it in the Rx or any blender for that matter will not alter the chemical makeup or relieve an allergic reaction. I'd suggest using something else in place of a banana. Bananas contain vitamin B6 and vit C and are a good source of potassium and fiber. Some good substitutions could be cooked sweet potato, sunflower seeds, avocado (good potassium and lends a thick consistency like banana), and then maybe toss in some mango to give it a touch of sweetness.
