Is there a good substitute for almonds and almond milk?

I'm allergic to almonds and almond milk; are there alternatives? It seems as if every recipe has almond milk.

Feel free to use any liquid of your choice. I like coconut milk, hemp milk, coconut water, plain water, brewed and chilled green tea. In place of almonds, if you can have them...then sub in another nut like cashews or walnuts...otherwise hemp seeds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds work well!
