How to prepare artichokes for blasting?

Detox your socks off calls for a cup of artichokes, how should the artichokes be prepared?

Artichokes should be cooked and peeled before you add them to your blasts. You can either steam and peel them yourself or use canned artichoke hearts to save time. If you opt for the canned version, make sure they are canned in water with no sodium added, and try to find organic and bpa-free varieties.
