It is possible that probiotics can lower intestinal inflammation and aid digestion, both of which could prevent the buildup of body fat, however research is inconclusive and focuses on particular stands of bacteria. Probiotics are great to help boost the immune system and aid in digestion and we are finding more and more benefits every day. For those reasons I'd suggest choosing more fermented and probiotic rich foods like kimchi, sauerkraut, and miso.
