What foods are best for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia?

I have CLL, a cancer which affects the blood and bone marrow. I am in watch and wait status, meaning no treatment yet. What foods are best? I deal with a lot of fatigue, bouts of anemia and occasional bone pain. Thank you for any help and guidance. I am trying to avoid as many "drugs" as possible, like too much pain reliever.

Since this is such a specific question I encourage you to discuss this with your oncologist and a personal RD that knows your specific health history and the medications you are taking.

In general, more plant-based foods have been shown to help those dealing with cancer. I'd focus on finding foods that can help with your symptoms.
For fatigue: https://www.nutriliving.com/search/fatigue
For anemia, include iron-rich foods: lentils, spinach, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, Swiss chard, Blackstrap molasses - (with vitamin C-rich foods to help increase absorption).
And for pain, anti-inflammatory foods might be useful: https://www.nutriliving.com/blog/top-10-anti-inflammatory-foods

Again, discuss these options with your Dr. to make sure they are appropriate for your specific medical needs.
