Combining foods rich in iron like pumpkin seeds, spinach, breakfast cereals enriched with iron, tofu, cooked beans, wheat germ, broccoli and apricots with foods high in vitamin C like grapefruits, kiwi, oranges, strawberries, lemons, papaya and brussels sprouts, can actually increase absorption of iron in the body. Including lean meats in your diet like fish, chicken and organic grass-fed beef, can also help increase iron stores. Check with your Dr. about taking any iron supplements.
A good Blast may be spinach, pineapple, strawberries, shelled pumpkin seeds, wheat germ and some organic silken tofu with coconut water or almond milk! Haven't tried this one, but sounds like it'd be a nice combo.
