What does the term detox or detoxification mean? Does also mean bowel movements and urination?

When the term Detox is used, does that also mean bowel movements and urination? I assumed it did because you are cleaning your system of chemicals etc.

The term detox or detoxification means a "scientifically designed medical detox from sugar and all things that turn to sugar. The fun part is that it’s done simply by taking out the bad stuff and putting in the good stuff – lots of good stuff" says Mark Hyman. This quote was taken from our guest Blogger Mark Hyman who is also a doctor, a New York Times best selling author. Bowel movement and urination are methods of removing toxins from your body. Sweating is another method. But detox is more than what you are removing, it is about what you put into your body to heal your body from inside out. This can include fruits and vegetables that are high in minerals vitamins that helps with the process.
