I am 50lbs overweight and a diabetic. What should I do to start?

The risk of type 2 diabetes can decrease if there are decrease in weight. To start, we would recommend having a balanced diet by including fruits and vegetables in your diet. We would also recommend consuming adequate amounts of whole grains that are high in fiber in addition to lean protein and healthy fats like nuts, seeds, and oils. It is best to check you blood glucose regularly and consume consistent amount of carbohydrates.
