There are foods like meat and poultry that are high in protein per ounce, however, there are things like nuts, seeds, soy, and some vegetables that also contain proteins. The content of the protein is not has high as it would be in animal products however, most healthy adults would only need about 60g per day.

Some examples are:
Quinoa 6g/cup
Hemp seeds 10g/2 tablespoon
Tofu 10g/ 0.5 cup
Nuts 4g/tablespoon
