Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that can be stored in our fat stores for later use therefore daily doses are not always necessary if you have a good store of it. Because is a fat-soluble vitamin, you often find it in fatty foods such as fish and and fish oil. Other sources include fortified orange juice and milk (cow and soy). Finally mushrooms and sunlight are a great way to get some vitamin D. For most healthy adults, 15 minutes of sunlight a day can provide adequate amount of vitamin D per day.
