Dietitian's Answer

Yeast infection is caused by the bacteria candida. An overgrowth of candida can be promoted by sugar (added or natural). There are foods that promote it like cane sugar, honey, fruits, milk (milk sugars), and other starchy items that contain sugars.

At our website, there is a good collection of information about the yeast infection: https://www.nutriliving.com/search/candida.
