Every day, healthy adults need 5 servings of fruits and vegetables. We typically suggest 3 servings of vegetables and 2 servings of fruit. The three servings of vegetable is the minimal. At 25 calories per serving, there is no harm in having more non-starchy vegetables.

1 Serving of fruits = 1/2 cup of cut fruit (ex: melon) or 1 small (ex: apple)
1 Serving of vegetable = 1/2 cup cooked vegetables or 1 cup raw vegetables.
