Can I make smoothies with yoghurt instead of using water?

You most certainly can use yogurt, however you may also need to still include a bit of liquid to help get the right consistency for it to blend well. Thicker yogurt may need added water, but thin yogurt may be just enough. If adding yogurt, I'd suggest reducing the liquid, but still using some.

I use natural plain yoghurt but still fill to the max line...this creates a great consistency.
Dairy can block the absorption of certain nutrients.
