Should flaxseed, chia seeds, and nuts be kept in fridge after opening?

Dietitian's Answer

Flax, if ground, should definitely be stored in the fridge or freezer. I actually keep all of my seeds and nuts in the fridge to preserve for longer. If you're going to consume them quickly you may be fine leaving them in a cool, dry place, but for safe measures to prevent any rancidity, store them in the fridge.
