Can I use flax seeds as an alternative to oats, as a gluten free recipe?

In a gluten free recipe, I would recommend using gluten free oats over flax seeds. While flax seed is a great addition to your Blast recipe, it is not an equivalent. I personally love the flax seeds' nutty flavors but the oatmeal can give your Blast the thicker texture that flax seed does not.
