Sorry you are experiencing weight gain at this moment. Low-carbohydrate diet has been shown to help lower weight however it is not the only piece of the puzzle. You also need good hydration, good sleep, and exercise/activity to help with the process. I have found that when people try to lose weight, they also stress or worry about their progress. That can increase your cortisol level that encourages weight gain or weight retention.
