Dietitian's Answer

Sorry you are experiencing weight gain at this moment. Low-carbohydrate diet has been shown to help lower weight however it is not the only piece of the puzzle. You also need good hydration, good sleep, and exercise/activity to help with the process. I have found that when people try to lose weight, they also stress or worry about their progress. That can increase your cortisol level that encourages weight gain or weight retention.

Stick with it and follow a regimented plan a nutrition professional has reviewed. Better yet, we recommend following up with a local dietitian to track your progress. Weight maintenance and weight loss can be a long path but slow and steady are keys to winning this race!

Thank you. I do drink a lot of water and go to the Y 5times a week I will stay on it.
