How do I prevent oxidation of apples and pears that I freeze?

I find that when freezing apples and pears they start to turn brown when I have cored and sliced them first. Should I just freeze them whole instead or prepare and add lemon juice before freezing?

I would recommend using lemon juice with apples and pears before freezing. Freezing should slow down the oxidation rate however we can recommend freezing them for a shorter period of time.
