Dietitian's Answer

Detox is a buzzword these days you are correct. We promote clean eating vs. detoxing. A cleanse by our definition is ridding your diet of unhealthful foods like processed, packaged foods and eating more whole, plant-based foods that provide your body with what it needs. These foods not only replace the junk, but also help your body's natural ability to detoxify. The liver requires specific nutrients to do that job and if we don't give it those nutrients, then it struggles and your body won't perform at its peak.
