Certain ingredients should be cooked prior to making the soup in the Rx. For one, beans cannot be eaten raw. The Rx simply heats the ingredients and doesn't reach a temperature high enough to cook. For veggies like leafy greens, carrots, etc. - those do not need to be cooked prior to adding to your Rx.
For this recipe here, I'd personally cook the onion to blunt the flavor a bit, then also used cooked beans.
