Why am I losing weight without changing my diet or exercise?

Over the past several months, I've lost about 6 lbs with no observable explanation. I exercise regularly, but haven't increased the amount. Nor have I decreased my food intake. This wouldn't phase me but I am already pretty borderline when it comes to the healthy vs underweight spectrum. I don't want it to continue to an unhealthy level, but I'm not sure what is causing it. It's also confusing because I know that I've visibly gained muscle, so shouldn't I have gained muscle weight?

It's great how conscious you are about your health! It is possible to lose weight while gaining muscle mass. As long as you are consistently eating adequate nutrition and exercise regularly and moderately, there should be nothing to be worried about. There are instances where weight loss is unexpected and unexplainable, and in those cases, I would recommend paying a visit to your doctor to ensure that all your blood markers and levels are on par. Just to be safe, please check with your doctor.
