Does drinking coffee alter or affect any nutrition I ingest from my Blasts or food or vitamins?

Does it make a difference if I drink coffee before or after my Blasts and meals? thanks

Dietitian's Answer

Taking vitamins at the same time as a cup of coffee or tea can interfere with the body's absorption of many necessary nutrients such as calcium, vitamin D, iron, certain B vitamins, along with others.
One example...The results of controlled studies in humans indicate that coffee and caffeine consumption decrease the efficiency of calcium absorption resulting in a loss of about 4-6 mg of calcium per cup of coffee.
Phenolic compounds in coffee can bind plant-based iron and inhibit its intestinal absorption.
It's best to drink your coffee at a separate time.
