Should I buy frozen spinach or fresh spinach?

I can get either frozen spinach in lumps or sheets (I presume they are going to be equal nutrients wise) or fresh spinach in a 300g bag, but as it is only me having the nutriblasts a 300g bag of spinach lasts me ages and starts going off so am I better off getting
frozen spinach lumps
or fresh spinach and freezing some myself

Also I've read fresh spinach needs blanching before freezing is this absolutely necessary?

Dietitian's Answer

You can use either frozen or fresh. Whichever is easiest for you. They are both nutritionally similar.
