Can ginger or tumeric cause severe stomach cramping?

I made a recipe that included ginger and turmeric. I only drank it for one day, but had very bad stomach cramping for 3 days and nights. Could either one of these ingredients have caused it? The green recipe included kale, parsley, mint, lemon, celery, ginger, turmeric. The ginger and turmeric are the only two ingredients that was new to my diet. If this is the case, I know the wonderful benefits of these two ingredients. How can I incorporate them into my diet without causing issues? TY

Hi Cathy -

I would suggest that you eliminate them from your Blast and see if you still have the same stomach cramping issues. At that point you can see if you are having cramping without those ingredients and then add one in at a time and monitor your symptoms. This should help narrow down what is causing the stomach issues. Best of luck!
