What is your response to this article?

Hi,

I came across this article - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2912353/Is-juicing-making-fat-Not-mention-rotting-teeth-starving-body-nutrients-new-fad-not-healthy-all.html and it has alarmed me somewhat.

I know this article is mainly about juicing but it also says blending fruit may not be good for you either and some of the reasons make sense to me.

What is your opinion on these points?

Official Answer

I agree with many elements of this article. I think juicing fruit is only providing your body with pure sugar and is not beneficial unless you are adding in veggies or just having a veggie based juice. Smoothies are similar in that you need to have an adequate amount of veggies to get the most health benefits out of your Blast.
