What do you suggest for a senior who has diabetes and HBP with a poor appetite?

There are various ingredients that can induce appetite such as acidic foods found in lemon juice and chewing gum. You can also limit the amount of liquids that you consume at meal times. Physical activity like walking before your meals times can increase your movements in your gastrointestinal tract therefore increasing appetite.

For individuals with diabetes and blood pressure, it is best to stay on a diet that is high in complex carbohydrates, dark leafy greens, limited amount of fruits and lean protein. A diet that is high in whole foods and ingredients can help you combat the two conditions.
