Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie

Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie

This morning, I made this blueberry breakfast smoothie with fresh organic blueberries. I always mix in some frozen fruit when I make smoothies because I like the texture more; sometimes, if you use only frozen fruit, it becomes extremely cold and hard to drink.

This blueberry smoothie is a great, healthy way to start off your day. Blueberries have numerous positive health effects and putting them in a smoothie is the best way for me to get them in my diet. I love adding granola and fresh fruit on top and eating some of the smoothie with a spoon.

What is the difference with frozen blueberries vs fresh blueberries. I can just pu some fresh blueberries and freeze them. That should be the same ?

Frozen blueberries purchased in the store are frozen at the time that it is picked so it retains more nutrients. After it is picked much of the nutrients slowly starts to break down. You can freeze your own too. It makes your smoothies colder without diluting it with ice and keeps your produce longer! Definitely recommend freezing some of your produce!
