I make smoothies all the time, to cut down on calories can I use water instead of Almond milk?

certainly and for even more taste make herb tea - any flavor - and chill it before using in place of almond milk or plain water

I've heard that the human body cannot break down flax seed. If that's so, should I use ground flax instead?
