I am 28 years old and, about a year and a half ago, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I had been feeling the symptoms for years and it took just as long to come up with a diagnosis. Then, about 9 months ago, I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus, yet another thing to add to my list of what seemed to be growing problems.
I could not understand how I could have so many problems at a relatively young age. I didn't really know what to do or where to turn. I began to research things that I could do on my own to help improve my health. I had read a lot about eating an anti-inflammatory diet, which was even suggested by my rheumatologist, but of course my quest to improve things did not last very long. It was only a matter of time before I was back to my old eating habits. I had the notion that if I just exercised a little more, things would be ok. Oh, and all the while I have been struggling with my weight and have desperately wanted to shed some pounds. But I suppose I was not desperate enough, because again, I did not stick to my exercise routine or healthy eating.
Around September 2013, an aunt of mine began to tell me about her NutriBullet and how much she loved it. She told of the results she was seeing in her weight loss efforts and all from just incorporating the NutriBullet into her daily routine. After our conversation, I was convinced that I had to purchase a NutriBullet of my own. At the time, my main motivation for wanting a NutriBullet was to lose the weight I had been struggling with. I did not expect the machine would be good for much else beside aiding in weight loss.
In October 2013, my wonderful husband surprised me with the NutriBullet for my birthday. I was so excited to begin using my very own NutriBullet - I just knew that things would get better. Unfortunately, I wasn't using my NutriBullet as frequently as I had originally planned, but enjoyed the Blasts when I did use it. As the New Year rolled around, I realized that I had let myself get to a point where I was not happy with my weight and was not happy with myself. I felt some improvement in health, but only as a result of the medications that I was placed on. And, lets face it, who wants to take medications for the rest of their life!
So, here I was, feeling depressed, unmotivated and at a loss about what to do. After seeking support from a friend, she reminded me of a time when we had done a detox for a few days to jump-start healthy habits for ourselves. My friend suggested I again try a detox of some sort to get me “jump-started” all over again. It was at this time that my husband and I watched a documentary about juicing, which helped to motivate me even more in beginning a detox/cleanse/fast of some sort. We had planned on using our NutriBullet (which was beginning to feel neglected because we had not been using it for a while) and figured our cleanse would be even better than what we saw in the documentary because we would not be losing any of our foods nutrients like you would with regular juicing.
As my husband and I planned how we would complete our ten day “smoothie” cleanse, I stumbled upon the NutriLiving website. As I perused the site, I came across the 2014 NutriBlast Cleanse. I was so excited to find this and smiled to myself at the perfect timing in coming across this cleanse. My husband (who does not need to lose weight, but has been wanting to eat healthier) and I decided that we would still stick with our original plan of cleansing/fasting for ten days; however we would follow the NutriBlast cleanse for ten days instead of the original five days.
Ten days later, I am amazed at the changes that have taken place! As a result of my medical conditions, I am ALWAYS tired, ALWAYS in pain and can NEVER have a restful night's sleep. As I reflect on the last 10 days, I realized my pain has decreased, I am not as tired and have more energy during the day. More importantly, I don't feel as sluggish during the day, I am able to get a better night's rest more often than not, my skin has been clearing up and is not as oily as it once was. And to my surprise, the tooth pain that I have had for the past 9 months (which I was told needs a root canal) does not hurt as much anymore. And, even better, I lost 11 pounds!!!
I could not have done this, first of all without the strength that God helped provide me with to stick with the cleanse for 10 days; second without the support and encouragement of my husband; and third, had it not been for the NutriBullet, the NutriLiving website and the 2014 NutriBlast Cleanse, I would not be feeling as great as I do and I would not have the drive and motivation to continue my newly discovered clean eating life style. Just one day off the cleanse and not following my NutriBlast routine and I have felt the difference in how my body feels and I am determined more than ever to maintain this new healthy lifestyle.
Thank you, NutriBullet for creating such an amazing product!! It has changed my life in so many ways! And it is changing the lives of others. Many of my coworkers plan on starting the 2014 NutriBullet cleanse to jump-start their new healthy lifestyle and we have all pitched in to purchase a NutriBullet for our office to help continue the success that many of us have found!!!
